Colonel Fram Announces Withdrawal From Congressional Race
RESTON - Today, Colonel Bree Fram announced the suspension of her campaign for Congress in Virginia’s 11th district and confirmed she will remove her name from the ballot.
“I am incredibly proud of what this campaign stood for and how we pursued bold ideas to improve the lives of Americans,” said Fram. “We ran a campaign based on the belief that Americans deserve courageous leaders willing to confront our biggest challenges directly.”
Fram pointed to the recent ruling by the Supreme Court of Virginia overturning the Commonwealth’s new congressional map as the decisive factor behind her decision.
“I am deeply disappointed by the Court’s decision to overturn the map approved by Virginia voters and the consequences it could have on the country,” Fram said. “With only five weeks before early primary voting, the ruling left this campaign without sufficient time and resources to meaningfully pivot to the previous district and have the kind of substantive debate voters deserve. After months of pouring my heart into this race, this is not the outcome I hoped for.”
Fram emphasized that while her campaign is ending, her commitment to public service is far from over.
“I’ve spent my career putting my country first,” Fram continued. “When I launched this campaign, I said I was running because too many Americans were afraid of what their own government was doing to them, instead of confident it was working for them. I still believe that must change. Now, it’s why I’ll do everything I can to help Democrats win critical races across Virginia and the country.”
Fram also thanked the thousands of supporters, volunteers, and donors who joined the campaign over the past months.
“To everyone who believed in this campaign enough to volunteer, donate, host events, share ideas, or encourage me when I needed it most: thank you. Campaigns have a tendency to heighten every emotional high and low. Your hugs, resolve, laughs, and indomitable spirit reminded me every day that there are still so many Americans willing to fight for a country that lives up to our quest for a more perfect union.”
“This campaign gave me hope at a moment when it can feel increasingly hard to come by and I’m confident we gave that same feeling to others.”
“I spoke with Congressman Walkinshaw and wish him nothing but success in representing the people of the 11th and fighting for their interests in Congress.”

This sucks.
Blessings in whatever comes next.
